From September 23rd to October 1st, Paris welcomes Fashion Week! It’s the turn of the Prêt à Porter to parade and present its best creations for spring / summer 2020.
Paris in a fashion frenzy
Remember that, along with New York, London and Milan, Paris is one of the four major cities chosen to present the latest collections from the most prestigious fashion and luxury houses during Fashion Week, an event that began in 1973. During this twice-yearly event, catwalk shows take place in the most emblematic places of the capital, from the nave of the Grand Palais and the Oratory of the Louvre to the Georges Pompidou Centre and the Palais de Tokyo. Not to mention the Trocadero fountains or even the Seine, both locations having recently been the settings for fashion events.
Plenty of surprises
In addition to the electric atmosphere of the shows and parades, it’s a real thrill to discover what the leading designers have dreamed up for the coming season. Dior, Chanel, Balmain and many more will certainly amaze us with their fluid lines and vibrant colours. We’re already anticipating catching the wave of the hottest new trends!
