The Grand Palais celebrates the career of one of France's greatest couturiers by devoting several months to a fabulous exhibition that has been around the world and delighted over 1.5 million visitors to date.  Now in its 10th stage, following outstanding success in Montreal, Dallas, San Francisco, Madrid, Rotterdam, Stockholm, New York, London and Australia, the exhibition "From the Street to the Stars" will arrive at the Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais,  and highlights the career  of a bold, avant-garde and sometimes genius designer that spans almost 40 years. The evocative name of the event was not chosen randomly, and it traces the designer's career from humble beginnings in 1976 to his latest creations.

Visitors will discover a themed journey that is divided into 7 sections; Salon, The Odyssey, the Muses, A flower of skin, Punk Cancan, Metropolis and Urban Jungle, and each space has been staged in collaboration with artists and designers.  The exhibition will feature a total of 175 accessorised outfits from Gaultier's haute couture collections, each matched to a stunning wig by Odile Gilbert (Workshop 68).   Enter a world of creative madness, a universe that is sometimes androgynous or hypersexualised universe, a world that masterfully combines impertinence and humour.
