Esprit Vallauris, Summer at Le Burgundy Paris
This summer, a southerly wind blows in the Burgundy’s Patio. Sought-after terrace of the Michelin-starred restaurant Le Baudelaire, the Patio offers to those who discover it a journey to Vallauris, at the beginning of the 1950’s. It is at this time indeed that Pablo Picasso settles there to work the ceramics, and meets Robert Picault, with whom he will establish an unfailing friendship.
In 2019, the Burgundy examines this know-how and reinterprets the ceramic work of the 50s under the artistic direction of the talented art dealer Florian Daguet Bresson, who selects for the Patio a collection of unique period pieces in their genre, all signed Robert Picault, recreating an atmosphere that has nothing to envy to the hinterland of Cannes. In addition to this you will find a selection of Picasso design cushions by Maison Jules Pansu, exceptional Robert Picault pieces from Galerie Stimmung, copper sculptures by artist Pierre Chevalier, glasses from La Verrerie de Biot, and sets and napkins from the Conran Shop. This ensemble contributes to create a 1950’s Vallauris Spirit summer look in Le Patio, where Chef Guillaume Goupil curates a dedicated menu to delight the gourmets.
