Until August 30th the Invalides invites you after dark to experience a sound and light show portraying 3,000 years of history. This breathtaking spectacle is easily accessible from the Burgundy Paris.

From Lutetia to Paris

From the Gallo-Roman settlement of Lutetia to the Paris of today, all the warriors, statesmen and builders who made our capital great live again via the storytelling skills of d'André Dussolier, narrator of this 50-minute epic that takes you on a journey through time.

The beauty of the Invalides by night

The atmosphere of this superb building steeped in history will remain long in your memory. The images projected on the magnificent stone facade surrounding the courtyard and a stirring soundscape plunge you into an enthralling past involving Roman legions and Gauls, a groundswell of revolt culminating in the storming of the Bastille, and the songs of the Communards as they attack the barricades. You will also be immersed in the splendour of the Sun King’s court, Napoleon building an empire, and victorious allied troops liberating the capital at the height of the Second World War. Then it will be time to return to the Burgundy, filled with the excitement of an astonishing sensory experience.
