The luxury label Balmain recently opened a second flagship boutique in Paris at 374 Rue Saint Honoré. Following the concept of Parisian residential architecture combined with the brand’s signature style, the 630 m2 space of parquet floors, chandeliers and mirrors offers a stunning selection of clothing, shoes and accessories mixing elegance with classicism.

Welcome to the ice palace!

As soon as you step through the vaulted portal of this new Parisian address, it’s the light that will seize your attention first. Here, through a series of connected rooms, mirrors cast a thousand sets of reflections. Set at ceiling height and various angles, they play with your perception while enhancing your surroundings yet further. In delightful contrast with the warm Versailles parquet are the large chandeliers that sparkle like sculptured ice, suspended above glass cabinets displaying the season’s must-have accessories. Black and gold design elements emphasise the brand’s famous signature style and act as constant reminders of the Balmain savoir-faire as you blissfully browse this magnificent ice palace.

Olivier Rousteing inspires a revival for the brand

He joined the house in 2011, just 25 years old, with an ambition to bring a contemporary vision to the brand. Since then, season after season, Balmain has shared its creative director’s modern and eclectic sensibility, echoing the culture of today. It’s a safe bet that this second boutique will continue this creative resurgence!
